My name is Helen Hubbard and I live in Newhaven, East Sussex. I have always loved taking photographs but during the lockdown of March 2020 I started taking it a lot more seriously. I was always out and about taking photos on walks and bike rides. I posted a lot of my photographs on Facebook and I was getting lots of lovely feedback from people and they were asking me if I sold any prints. I therefore set up a Facebook Group called Heli's Pix and started selling them. 

In April 2023 I decided to buy a drone so that I could get some photographs from different angles. These photos are proving very popular so I will soon be expanding this side of the business.

A few of my photographs have been used for a local calendar for various charities and I have won winner and runner-up prizes in the annual Newhaven Town Council Photography competitions.

I gave up my full time job in August 2023 so that I can concentrate on photography as this is my passion. I still work as an Accounts Assistant part-time but the majority of my time is spent building up my photography business. 

On 20th February 2024 I joined the Peacehaven & District Chamber of Commerce which should help grow my business.

On 25th March 2024 I joined the Seven Sisters Camera Club in Eastbourne, East Sussex, so that I can build and expand on my current knowledge, allowing me to become a better photographer.

I have always lived in East Sussex so I know the area well and am therefore very familiar with a lot of the popular photo spots (plus a few hidden gems!). I believe this helps with my passion for capturing the beauty of our local surroundings. My photography merchandise allows you to connect with nature and bring the essence of Sussex into your home. Each photograph is carefully curated to showcase the unique landscapes and wildlife that make our area so special.
